Creating an MMORPG is an unending task, which appears to be a preference of Naoki Yoshida, the Director and Producer of Final Fantasy XIV. Either way, he performs exceptionally well. Yoshi-P, as he is known, has published his annual New Year’s Greeting letter on the game’s website, shedding light on what to anticipate in 2025 and providing some words of wisdom coupled with exciting artistry.
The XIV team, having achieved Dawntrail and half of the 7.1 patch series, is now preparing 7.2. Yoshi-P, in his letter, confirmed he would commence his review of these enhancements in February. Promising a “jam-packed” update, players can expect copious content. Although details were sparse, he also indicated that Patch 7.3 is due for release later this year.
Fan Fests are expected to be the forums to disseminate any news about upcoming content. The specifics on when and where these Fan Fests will transpire remain uncertain but preparations are underway. The complete letter can be read on the Final Fantasy XIV website.
