World of Warships Marks 250 Years of the US Navy With Liberty Harbor Update

World of Warships
is celebrating the United States Navy this month with its October update.
The update features Liberty Harbor, a limited-time event where players
restore a miniature naval base while learning about 250 years of U.S.
maritime history. This update arrives before the Navy’s 250th anniversary
on October 13.

This update also includes a new Tier X Pan-Asian destroyer for Dockyard
players and a German-themed Event Pass for Germany’s reunification
anniversary. These additions coincide with the game’s 10-year anniversary
celebration.

Liberty Harbor event highlights:

  • Four buildable areas: Naval Commander, Operational Command, Military
Port, and Fuel Terminal, each with three upgrade levels.
  • Combat missions in Random, Ranked, Brawl, Co-op, and Operations modes
award Naval Base Supplies for construction.
  • Historical snippets unlock in-game items like a Navy 250th anniversary
flag, U.S. Commander John Barry, and special permanent camouflages.
  • Completing the event awards the Tier VIII American cruiser
Bridgeport and two commemorative harbor backdrops.

New Dockyard project: Lüshun B

  • 35 construction phases unlock a black-hull variant of the Tier X
    Pan-Asian destroyer Lüshun.
  • Equipped with four rapid-fire 130 mm guns, ten torpedo tubes, Heavy
    Repair Team, and Hydroacoustic Search.
  • Offers stealth-skirmish gameplay with strong concealment but lower
    maneuverability.

Unity, Justice, Freedom Event Pass

  • Marks 35 years of German reunification on October 3.
  • The first track grants Commander Goldelse, Black/Red/Gold permanent
camo, and Iron Cross camo for F. Schultz.
  • An optional track unlocks Commander Delphius Ora-cle, Infernal camo for
Tier VIII and X ships, and Tier VI battleship
    Prinz Eitel Friedrich.

Other October additions:

  • Early Access line of German Kriegsmarine cruisers.
  • Return of Brawls for a competitive mini-season.
  • Rare British carrier Ocean debuts in the Armory.
  • Quality-of-life improvements to Battle Chat and gameplay.

Since 2015, World of Warships has been known for historical ship models
and events highlighting naval history. The Liberty Harbor update continues
this tradition, offering players a chance to learn about American and
German history.
