Warzone and Black Ops 6

As any gaming aficionado would agree, the battle against cheaters in competitive video games is relentless and ongoing. It’s a particularly rampant problem in the realm of first-person shooters, with players frequently employing hacks and aim bots to gain an unfair advantage in ranked games. Consequently, this necessitates gaming developers like Treyarch to frequently grapple with issues pertaining to cheating.

Prior week, the developer divulged their strategies for combating cheaters in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, including its associated battle royale Warzone, through the Call of Duty blog. The announcement elucidates on the comprehensive measures taken by the developer prior to the January 28 update, spanning aspects beyond just cheating – including the ability for players to turn off cross-play on consoles in Ranked Play and solutions to server problems.

Notably, the blog post highlights the enhancement of the RICOCHET Anti-Cheat system with additional security buoys. The revamped system now incorporates improved detection mechanisms to identify instances of aim botting, along with novel protocols for spotting spam reports and repeated interactions with cheaters. Since the implementation of these amendments, over 136,000 cheaters have been duly expelled. This is decidedly a significant statistic.
