During the Tokyo Game Show, the September Warframe Devstream was held by Digital Extremes, previewing forthcoming game updates. Included in the streaming session was confirmation of the expected release date of the MMO‘s upcoming update, Koumei & the Five Fates. It has been announced that the dice maiden, Koumei, being the game’s 58th warrior, will be added in this update, due for release on all platforms on October 2.
The latest Warframe was showcased during the stream, featuring her RNG-inspired ability kit. She was developed in collaboration with Sumo Digital. This update will also introduce a new mission type named “Shrine Defense”, where players will fight against an Infested mini-boss named Oni Carnis. Plus, numerous quality-of-life enhancements will also be included.
In related news, come October 16, a Warframe: 1999 demo will become available for all platforms. To gain access to the demo, Warframe players must finish the Awakening and Vor’s Prize tutorial quests.
The introduction of cross-platform gifting and trading across all platforms is currently in the works. Also, the team has announced a future graphics update lined up for the PS5 Pro launch.
