War Thunder’s 12th Birthday Offers Free Tank and Extras

Back in 2012, when War Thunder was about to launch, I was with GameBreaker and we ran a variety of promotions with them. Back then, it was easy to dismiss Gaijin Entertainment’s burgeoning strategy game as yet another World of Tanks knock-off. Little could I have imagined the depths of gameplay it would develop, and I certainly would never have suspected it would still be here, more than a decade later.

Well, here we are. War Thunder marks its 12th birthday today. While they’ve been running some discounts in their store for the past few weeks in recognition of this occasion, we don’t usually feature game sales. They have their own budget for promotion; it’s not our role to offer them publicity for free.

Today, however, things take a different turn as we join the celebration of the game’s anniversary. With the ‘Dreams Come True’ event, players have the chance to win decorations, decals, and even a new tank for their collection – the KV-7 Soviet tank destroyer that first saw action in 1941, armed with three separate weapons.
