War Robots: Frontiers Unleashes New Mechs and Game Mode in Explosive Season 2 Update

War Robots: Frontiers is gearing up for a major content drop with the arrival of its second season, Power Surge. This new chapter in the fast-paced, free-to-play mech shooter will introduce two formidable War Robots—Loki and Mesa—alongside a brand-new Titan-class mech called Volta.

Volta is designed to dominate the battlefield with its spider-like, four-legged frame and a versatile mix of mobility and defense. It can jump and hover over terrain, deploy an energy barrier that blocks enemy projectiles, and unleash powerful electric attacks. What sets Volta apart is its barrier’s dual purpose—not only does it shield, but it also deals damage to anyone reckless enough to try and push through it.

War Robots: Frontiers amps up the action with new mechs, a deadly pilot, and a high-stakes game mode in Season 2: Power Surge

War Robots: Frontiers is also adding a new competitive mode called Spearhead. In this objective-based battle, teams clash over control of Warp Probes in an effort to stabilize unstable zones. Victory hinges on speed, coordination, or the complete elimination of the opposing team—whichever comes first.

Season 2 doesn’t stop there. A new playable hero pilot, Sora Sing, joins the fray. Once a feared femme fatale, she now fights as an outcast stripped of her citizenship due to her wartime actions. Her arrival adds both narrative intrigue and fresh gameplay dynamics.

Players won’t have to wait long—Power Surge officially launches on June 17. However, eager pilots can get a sneak peek during an early playtest running from May 15 to 16.
