Updates for Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis in January 2025 Revealed

The initial updates for 2025 for Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis have been revealed by SEGA. These updates feature the Super Genesis Festival Part 2, Scratch Ticket promotions, temporary quests, and a rigorous solo boss challenge.

A collaboration with Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End was conspicuous, offering players log-in bonuses comprising of Frieren, Fern, Stark, Himmel, Heiter and Eisen acrylic stand-style Build Parts, Special Scratch Tickets, SG, and GP.

Updates for January

Part 2 of Super Genesis Festival ’24 (January 1)

• Central City will be furnished with New Year embellishments and winter-inspired attire.
• Gather Seasonal Points through the event-specific Temporary Tasks.
• Engage in daily free draws for SG Scratch Tickets (10 tickets per day, up to 100 total).
• The success rates for gear enhancement will be increased during the campaign.

New Year Scratch Ticket Promotions

Three exclusive New Year’s Scratch Tickets will be unveiled:

1. Line ’25 of New Year’s Remix
   • Revamped ensembles from earlier AC Scratch Tickets.
   • Scratch Bonuses will include Rappy Sneakers, Preset Skill Enhance Success Lv.4, and others.
2. ’25 NY Rewind Collection
   • Reintroduction of NGS-spec AC Scratch Ticket awards from earlier January launches.
   • Includes Augments of Anaddi-class and other enhancements.
3. Revival of AC Scratch Tickets
   • Reintroduction of PSO2-spec items, including Emotes and Weapon Camos.

Temporary Quest: Large Enemy Clean-up Op Drill (January 8)

• Collaborate with up to 8 players to combat Huge Mutant adversaries in Stia Outskirts.
• Commencing January 13, the bonus of the drop rate amplifies to 250% for superior rewards.

Solo Challenge: Ruine Masquerader (January 15)

• Confront the Ruinius Boss named “Ruine Masquerader” in a solo 1v1 match.
• Progress through Depth Ranks: New ranks can be unlocked after Rank 10 completion.
• Exclusive items of Ruine Masquerader are available at each Depth Rank landmark.
