[Upcoming event] DiGRA Malta 2025

The central topic of DiGRA, “Bringing Worlds Together”, encourages a multi-disciplinary dialogue about crucial issues related to gaming. As games and play evolve into mainstream phenomena, different strategies and perspectives emerge on the fringe of game culture. This opens up opportunities for cross-discipline interaction, diverse methodologies, and comprehensive critiques. DiGRA is open to articles on all kinds of game formats, manifestations, and phenomena — both digital and non-digital.

DiGRA 2025 Malta is the sweet sixteen edition of DiGRA’s worldwide conference and is under the aegis of the Institute of Digital Games at the University of Malta. The inaugural DiGRA was held back in 2003 in Utrecht, Netherlands. Since its inception, the conference has been held in numerous esteemed institutions spanning four continents, with locations stretching from Kyoto, Japan, to Guadalajara, Mexico.
