Trove September Letter: Block Party Update & Player Q&A

The Trove team’s September Community Letter offers a recap of recent happenings. July saw the 10th Anniversary Sunfest celebration, complete with piñatas and Yabakis. In August, players welcomed the return of the Elysian Knights and participated in the Trials of Tauri. This challenging 15-step questline tested adventurers in the free-to-play MMORPG through battles, riddles, and dungeons, rewarding participants with Sol Sigils, new Allies, Mounts, Wings, and Titles. The Close Call Competition, held on the PTS, showcased players’ survival prowess, with winners earning 5000 Credits and community recognition.

This month, the spotlight shines on the Block Party update. This update introduces the Combat Block, Mystic Gems, and class balance adjustments designed to empower melee characters. A playful in-game feud erupts with the Healthy Food vs. Junk Food event, pitting different regions of Trove against each other. Also, Twitch Drops are making a comeback.

Trion Worlds addressed player concerns regarding delays in class reworks, reaffirming that gameplay improvements are prioritized over monetization. Plans are underway for Crystal 5 rings, and loyalty badges are being expanded based on community feedback. The team encourages players to submit and upvote questions on Discord for consideration in next month’s community letter.
