Trove Releases Shadow’s Eve, Upgrades Newbie Tutorial, and Unleashes the Kraken on Console

With Shadow’s Eve’s release, the voxel sandbox MMO, Trove, is all set to embrace the Halloween celebration, as announced by Gamigo.

According to the announcement by gamigo, the MMORPG publisher, Trove’s October update that introduces Shadow’s Eve is here. The Trovians have a mission this year: they are to assist a mysterious Witch who has been transformed into her own cat familiar and guide her through Shadow’s Eve content from previous years.

An intriguing questline awaits players, guiding them through the event’s historically notable parts, all integrated into a fresh narrative. The witch requires the completion of a few tasks for her to return to her original form. These include gathering ripe pumpkins, sourcing Q’rsebane, and defeating werewolves—a standard ‘Shadow’s Eve’ to-do list. Ensure to reconvene with the witch post-task completion for a reward.

This week, players on consoles, including PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, are now able to enjoy the Rising Tides: Release the Kraken update. Since early September, it was available on PC and has now made its entry into the console realm.

Apart from the Halloween theme and the console update, there is also another update queued for release today, as per details from the press release. It entails a revamp of the tutorial and user experience for new players, escalated mining difficulty, tweaks to the mastery UI, and softer mobs in tier 0 maps. Gamigo has also approved several user-created style designs for new spears, staves, and fist weapons.
