Towers of Aghasba Co-op Survivalbox Spent November and December on Improvements and Fixes

Recall the Towers of Aghasba? A fascinating survival sandbox game we initially covered in early November, focusing on cooperative gameplay and reconstruction of a ravaged tribal world. Despite its early access release in the same month, it was quickly noted to be significantly incomplete by Steam gamers.

After approximately a month into the game’s development under Dreamlit Inc, it’s now time to reassess its progress. Interestingly, the game seems to be gradually taking form. Immediate hotfixing was initiated soon after the launch right off the bat, with consecutive patches dedicated to enhancing the user experience, rectifying several glitches, and consolidating multiplayer gameplay. The latter aspect was kickstarted by a mid-December patch that’s part of an extensive overhaul geared towards multiplayer, streamlining aspects such as quest sharing, cinematic scenes, and the initial multiplayer entry process.

The weeks of effort put in by Dreamlit are beginning to pay off, as observed by the rising trend in Steam user reviews. The aggregate response has gone from negative to mixed, whereas recent reviews are mainly positive. Many recent reviewers appreciated the game’s setting and overall gameplay, although some negative feedback addressed persisting animation issues and certain unappealing mechanics.
