Throne and Liberty’s September update is packed with new content. We previously shared details on features like the new player housing in an interview. However, information on the Hyperboost system, designed to help new and returning players catch up, was initially limited.
We knew the system would be server-specific, requiring players to create new characters, and that the Adventure Codex would be central to gear progression. Further details were scarce at the time.
Now, we have a more comprehensive understanding of the Hyperboost system in this free-to-play MMORPG. The developers have released an in-depth overview on the game’s website and Steam Page. This information details how the system operates and the benefits it offers, extending beyond simply accelerating leveling. Benefits include an increased acquisition rate for gear enhancement materials and special rewards earned through Growth Support Missions.
The announcement emphasizes that Hyperboost aims to “accelerate growth, while preserving the essence of the TL experience.” Essentially, Hyperboost is structured to enable faster progression while still encouraging player engagement with the content, rather than simply bypassing it.
The introduction of new servers will create a level playing field for endgame content. New players won’t be at a disadvantage compared to veterans. This makes now an ideal time for new players to jump into Throne and Liberty.
