Theorycraft Reports Huge Player Increase for SUPERVIVE after Steam Next Fest

SUPERVIVE, labeled by its creators as a MOBA, Battle Royale and Hero Shooter game and referred to as “The Next 10,000 Hour Game”, is thriving post-Steam Next Fest. As per the recent update by its creators on the game’s Steam page, the player count has seen a three-fold increase since the Fest, with over a million players accrued.

In honor of reaching this significant landmark, the game developers offered insights into their journey and provided a glimpse into what awaits players in the future. The game, which is presently in an open beta phase having launched on Steam Early Access less than a week ago, has a lot in store, inclusive of a festive holiday map planned for December.

The roadmap extends until June 2025, though some parts are intriguingly “redacted”. The post also mentions the demand for an OCE server, noting the challenges faced by “much larger studios with much larger games” that have had to discontinue their OCE servers due to low player counts. The developers recognize the issue and although it’s a risk they aren’t prepared to take at this moment, it’s something they aim to resolve moving forward.
