FEAR ME FOR I AM IMPORTANT

The Legacy of Crassus event returns in New World next week with upgraded GS710 drops.

With its latest round of server merges behind it, New World is now looking ahead to the next recurring event: Legacy of Crassus. This event won’t be a surprise for gamers, as Amazon has run it in 2023 and 2024 as well, though it will be the first time Aeternum players on console get to experience it.

The original premise of the event revolves around General Crassus, who has unleashed a pair of his malevolent cyclopes upon the world. Players must face these formidable foes to earn loot, crafting items, and currency.

“Hunt down General Crassus’ monstrous captains and banish the shadow of Roman tyranny in an all-new event. Following a plan set in motion long ago, Crassus’ forces have invaded the southern lands to unleash the cyclopes Lucanus and Decimus. Players brave enough to face these world bosses can search for portals in Brightwood, Weavers Fen, Mourningdale, Ebonscale Reach, and Edengrove. Each victory nets Adventurers event-specific, daily rewards.”

Notably, for this iteration, Amazon has extended the event’s duration, allowing it to run through the end of March. Additionally, the studio has introduced gearscore 710 versions of the Crassus weapons and armor. However, players are limited to earning just one of these items per day, ensuring that cheeseball farming won’t be possible. That said, players can still farm bonus boxes (up to three per day) and normal boxes (with no limit) for the remaining rewards. The event officially begins on March 11th.
