Apparently, Amazon’s New World had a few crucial aspects disrupted by the recent updates. According to several posts on Reddit, there have been some glitches following the 2 a.m maintenance this morning, notably in the PvP servers.
The update was intended to fix certain issues like crafting bugs and ward perks, but, based on player reports, it seems to have inadvertently induced a massive glitch that affects the newly unrolled seasonal-themed FFA PvP servers. This means that players can transfer their advanced characters from regular servers, including any accumulated possessions, to these troubled PvP servers. There have also been issues reported with crafting ethereal equipment, indicating a potential unflagging issue with these servers.
Although Amazon acknowledges the issue, no official announcements have been made due to their location on the west coast.
Players are now speculating about a huge game rollback. It might be a good idea to delay any gameplay for now.
Amazon’s latest MMORPG, Throne and Liberty, has also encountered problems this week. Despite planning a patch rollout and a Lunar New Year event for early Thursday, Amazon experienced difficulties even before the servers were up. After working through the day to resolve the issues, the servers were back online at 1 a.m EST with announcements of extensive player compensation coming.
Meanwhile, Lost Ark players are advised to tread softly this week, and simply avoid bringing any attention to themselves.
