The Foundation Festival Returns to Star Citizen Today, Offering a Week of Free Flight Time

The space-themed Star Citizen video game often holds its “Free Fly” events as part of its MMO project. Just minutes ago, another one commenced. This latest event begins today and continues till July 19th. As part of this, you can venture into space and try out ten epic ships. If it meets your liking, feel welcome to help Cloud Imperium Games by buying the discounted starter packs. Evidently, Star Citizen has collected significant funding, although they would probably appreciate more.

Free Fly is complementary to the resurgence of the Foundation Festival. This yearly event boosts Star Citizen’s community spirit by urging players to collaborate with local and imperial organizations. Plenty of prizes are on offer for both skilled and amateur players, with skilled players mentoring beginners during gameplay sessions.

The current Foundation Festival is part of the preparation for the upcoming Pyro System. If you’re attracted to the risks associated with being a space criminal, staying updated on the Pyro updates is essential.

The Festival continues until July 31st, with a variety of contests for creating content within the community taking place throughout.

Festival-related news aside, there are fresh updates on the recently postponed Blockade Runner event. Initially, the event was set for the last patch (3.23), but it got delayed due to severe glitches. The event, which involves hauling cargo while fending off space pirates, is now fixed and will be released in patch 3.24. Learn more about the event by watching the video below.
