Star Trek Online’s newest season, Unveiled, is now officially active on PC today, released just slightly after the 15th anniversary of the game. This edition introduces the Axiom episode, Borg-themed, including a search-and-rescue mission. In addition, players can join in the anniversary festivities for a chance to win a T6 Garret Command Alliance Dreadnought Cruiser.
In the Unveiled season of Star Trek Online, a more menacing Borg attack is occurring in the Ram Izad system. When players respond to a distress call from Hugh, the notable Borg Cooperative Faction leader and head of the Reclamation project, they come across the damaged and apparently abandoned vessel of Aetherian leader Thaseen-Fei in the Delta Quadrant. The challenge is to embark on a search-and-rescue mission while working with familiar allies to uncover the truth about the incident aboard the Harmony! This adventure features none other than Jonathan Del Arco, from the Star Trek franchise, who makes a return as Hugh, the prominent Borg Cooperative Faction Leader. Jonathan Del Arco is remembered for his portrayal of Hugh in seasons five and six of Star Trek: The Next Generation, and in the first season of Star Trek: Picard.
The official site has already posted the patch notes; the console version will be available on March 11th.
The new studio, DECA Games, addressed the STO community yesterday in its first communication, stating an intention to host an introductory livestream and Q&A, pledging to “continue providing new Episodes, TFOs, Patrols, Ships, Rewards, among other things,” without “compromis[ing] the quality of [their] releases.” You can read about it in their message to the community.
