Requiem: Desiderium Mortis made a late announcement in April declaring its passage into maintenance mode. The official statement initially went unnoticed, until a discussion was initiated on Reddit.
The game, originated by Gravity Interactive (now recognized as WarpPortal in the Western regions), was launched in 2008. Even though it didn’t achieve massive success, it tenaciously existed in the harsh market where numerous free-to-play MMORPGs have been discontinued.
Now, the game is in its maintenance phase, which means all future additional content or standout events have been abolished. This was expected as there have been no major updates to the game since 2011, despite regular event runs. Maintenance mode usually signals the end for such games as it clearly indicates the developers have abandoned it. The hope continues, nonetheless, for its survival.
