Tencent has announced the opening of pre-registration for the iOS version of Roco Kingdom: World in China. This new MMORPG is being developed by Morefun Studio. The game was first revealed in 2022, entered beta testing in August 2024, and received its final name in December of the same year. Based on the popular Roco Kingdom franchise, which began as a successful browser game in China, Roco Kingdom: World promises a modern, totally open-world experience.
In Roco Kingdom: World, players take on the role of a young adventurer who can tame creatures called “rocks,” use them in battles, and ride them as mounts across different regions. The game utilizes monster collection mechanics, reminiscent of Pokémon, while also incorporating large-scale exploration elements inspired by GENSHIN IMPACT, featuring detailed environments, diverse biomes, and various forms of locomotion, such as gliders and creature-assisted movement. The aim is to create an immersive journey filled with activities and discoveries.
Key highlights of Roco Kingdom: World include the rock progression system, free exploration with numerous secrets, and a vibrant visual style characterized by charismatic characters and a compelling soundtrack. Pre-registration is currently available for iOS users in China, with a launch date tentatively set for December 31, 2025 according to the App Store. Tencent has not yet confirmed pre-registration for Android or plans for a global version.
