The headline might sound like a bunch of random words but it’s actually highlighting various minor updates added to Blizzard’s game array, combined into one content kaleidoscope. These “minor” updates include the reappearance of treasure goblins, a collaboration, and a reiteration of the Diablo boss battle.
The discussion starts with Diablo IV, and its seasonal Slay Ride to Hell event. Between December 17th and January 2nd, this event increases the spawn rate of treasure goblins, dishing out rewards such as ancestral unique items, exclusive cosmetics, and a community-wide goblin-defeating target that reveals additional prizes, including a sparkling surprise at the climax.
The promising upcoming patch for the OARPG features the Mother’s Blessing event’s comeback, a teaser for a new gilded splendor event, and another complimentary temporary access to the Spiritborn class.
In other update news, Diablo Immortal, the mobile version of the game, reintroduces the Diablo boss fight. The update unfolds a new region hosting the awaited battle, plus new challenging levels for dungeons and helliquary bosses, new legendary gems, and a couple of limited-time events supplemented by some returning ones. To emphasize the update’s richness, a cinematic trailer is provided below.
Lastly, Overwatch 2 announces its plan to conduct a collaborative event with the animated series Avatar: The Last Airbender in the following week. The collaboration will provide challenges for players to unlock rewards such as a Katara-inspired skin for Mei, distinctive voice lines, sprays, and also some Avatar-themed skins for other characters (probably available through the in-game market). The event runs from December 17th to 30th.
