Since V Rising officially launched and subsequently was released on PlayStation 5, over 130,000 participants have been engaged in the Vardoran world of survival. Stunlock Studios have been thrilled with the player engagement and feedback although deciding the future trajectory of the survival game has proven to be a tad more complex than anticipated.
In a recent blog update, the Stunlock team reflects on their launch experiences, thanking the current players for their support, and hinting at the direction they envision for the game with their upcoming “Patch 1.1”.
The details of this patch are as yet unclear as the creators are still mulling over the specifics including the direction the game should take.
The post states that the developers intend “To progress steadily, ensuring not to rush ideas and allowing optimal performance. Following a short break, we will return revitalised, ready to embark on the exciting journey towards the future that is V Rising 1.1.”
Although Patch 1.1’s content and size are not yet determined, the team anticipate the update to expand on the base game with a “side vampire” narrative. Major system overhauls should not be expected. Given the ongoing ideation process, the actual release of 1.1 is not imminent, hence the players should not get their hopes up too soon.
