Skyforge postpones handing over data and launcher timeline to Music Guru and Innova.

One month prior, the change of Skyforge MMORPG’s ownership left us confused which moved from MY.GAMES to US-based Music Guru, a company who bought the game with an intention to publish it through EU-based Innova. The switchover started unexpectedly on September 4th, with Steam players being assured that they had to do nothing as everything would be automated, while MY.GAMES launcher players were informed to migrate their data to Innova and switch to the new launcher.

Though the studios allotted a year to players for performing the data swap, October 2nd – today was the deadline for adopting the new client. This implies that to continue play post this point and until next September, players with MY.GAMES launcher needed to have changed already. However, there has been a change in this schedule.

As per the official game Discord the launcher change has not yet been implemented, and a new ETA is to be decided. Until then, you can continue playing through the MY.GAMES launcher.

“The process of transfer has stretched longer than envisioned. Originally, October 2, 2024 was specified as the final date for completing the server migration from My.Games to Innova. This schedule has now been extended. The precise dates of finalizing the transfer will be announced later. Until the transfer is complete, you can still access the game through the My.Games Launcher as before. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.”

The information is not yet on the official website at the time of this text, although we anticipate the developers will inform players outside of Discord eventually. In any case, it is advisable to transfer your data sooner rather than later.
