Yes, yes, yes, yes, Erenshor isn’t a real MMORPG; it’s a single-player game that aims to replicate classic MMO gameplay for solo enthusiasts. We know it’s a single-player title. We understand. But it’s also a delightful game and falls within our realm of interest due to its referential nature, so we’ve kept tabs on it and even played its demo since its debut in 2023. Now, we’re highlighting another milestone in the game’s journey as it has locked in an early access release date of Monday, April 14th.
“Did you enjoy the thrill of grinding for that highly sought-after piece of equipment in EverQuest back in the day? Are you new to the world of MMOs and RPGs and seeking a great place to try playing with others? Erenshor offers what you’re looking for with ‘simulated’ players that you can team up with for dungeons, grind for gear, and much more. Relive the nostalgia of 2000s MMOs without the time constraints or frustrations of playing with real people.”
The announcement arrived alongside a new gameplay and accolades trailer, showcasing the game’s four playable classes, over 35 explorable zones, and more than 1,000 items to pursue, all while grouping up with hundreds of simulated players. As the human player progresses, the “server” will evolve as well, unlocking even greater challenges.
According to Erenshor’s Steam page, early access is expected to last around 18 months, with plans to add more spells, items, quests, events, horizontal progression features, and endgame content like raids. A price for the early access version hasn’t been revealed, but developer Burgee Media confirmed there will be a price increase upon the game’s full release.
