Sharkmob Reveals Exoborne Playtest: A Fusion of PvPvE Action and Survival Mechanics in a Tactical Extraction Shooter

The upcoming game, Exoborne, a tactical extraction shooter with an amalgamation of PvPvE combat and survival features set in a world modified by disastrous natural forces has been revealed by Sharkmob. A closed playtest via Steam is planned for February 12–17, which would offer an early chance to PC players to try out this ambitious venture.

The game, Exoborne, whisks players to Colton County, a place devastated by extreme weather and strife. The players take on the identity of the “Reborn,” survivors who’re fitted with customizable Exo-Rigs, serving dual purposes: survival kits and combat platforms. These state-of-the-art rigs assist players in dangerous territory navigation, adapting to unexpected environmental hurdles, and strategizing their moves in an extraction scenario featuring high stakes, where winning and losing loot is equally probable.

The playtest’s focus will be on technical stability, server performance, and preliminary game mechanics. Brynley Gibson, Sharkmob’s Executive Producer, emphasized the significance of this phase, outlining their dedication to player feedback for game refinement. “This is our initial large-scale test and represents a key progression. Our objective is to get priceless feedback from the community collaboration, aiming to take Exoborne to a whole new level,” Gibson quoted.

Sharkmob, the developer of this game, is a Sweden-based company known for its previous release – Bloodhunt, a battle royale game set in the Vampire: The Masquerade universe, owned by an international gaming company – Tencent.
