Season 1 Nightmares in ‘First Descendant’: Hailey Joins Roster

In what I find to be a somewhat peculiar marketing strategy, this morning The First Descendant released a brief 15-second teaser trailer for the unveiling of the Season 1 for looter-shooter. Common enough, I suppose. Yet, not more than 5 hours later, they rolled out the complete trailer. I’ve positioned both videos below, though the timing of their release is somewhat baffling to me.

Now, let’s dig into what the inaugural season holds for NEXON’s game scheduled for release on August 29th. The major boost to the gameplay seems to be a new member to the Descendant roster; Hailey. Much like her predecessor Viessa, Hailey is an ice-powered Descendant who is not just endowed with elemental abilities but also flaunts remarkable marksmanship with a sniper rifle. Should the video serve as an indication, we might anticipate the Ultimate version of Freyna to appear. This is my speculation, and we haven’t confirmed it yet. However, the exploration of Freyna’s backstory is pretty much anticipated in “Invasion.”

Apart from adding the spice of uncertainty, “Invasion” will also introduce an optional invasion event that can occur in two Hard level dungeons while playing. Players are not obligated to take on the random invasion, but should they decide to undertake it, a quick completion will ensure enhanced rewards.

Season 1 will also incorporate other improvements such as new Ultimate Weapons, a fresh Void Intercept Battle against the Death Stalker, and a novel progression mechanism linked to the season that boosts your aggregate stats.
