Sandbox MMORPG BitCraft Online has officially released to Steam early access

Sandbox MMORPG BitCraft Online Officially Launches on Steam Early Access

It’s been a somewhat rocky journey to reach this milestone, but after a few delays, the crafting and exploration sandbox MMORPG world of BitCraft Online has now officially launched into early access. Depending on who you ask, this phase could also be considered a beta.

As previously mentioned, early access will cost $30 but will transition to free-to-play at launch. The game promises a “true single world MMORPG” experience where players can craft, manage settlements, explore diverse biomes, terraform the environment, and face a variety of threats. Collaboration and survival are key, with progression designed to unfold “over months and years”—a pace that MOP’s Chris experienced firsthand when he tested the game on OPTV.

According to BitCraft’s Steam page, there’s no set timeline for the duration of early access. Clockwork Labs acknowledges its “large ambitions for the full release” and estimates it may take “several years to get there.” The studio is committed to staying in early access until “both us and the community feel that BitCraft is ready for a great full release.” Planned additions include biome-specific challenges, new enemies and resources, expanded regions, and additional buildable items.
