As players begin logging initial successes against RuneScape’s Amascut encounter, Jagex has outlined plans for future updates focused on expanded challenges and content enhancements.

The roadmap includes combat mastery achievements arriving next month and an ultra-challenging 4,000% enrage version of the Amascut battle. Developers delayed this extreme mode to incorporate feedback from world-first champions. Recent patches have implemented balance adjustments for the encounter alongside quality-of-life improvements. Players can also explore developer insights into puzzle room design detailing the creative process behind recent dungeon mechanics.

Meanwhile, RuneScape prepares for its August 15-25 Double XP event featuring an experimental MTX overhaul. This iteration will exclude most progression-boosting items from loot boxes, forcing players to rely on core gameplay systems. Jagex explains this temporary change aims to “assess gameplay balance without external progression accelerators influencing skilling activities.”
