Wargaming has just launched update 13.9 called Red October for their war-centricstrategy game, World of Warships. The newly introduced Red October brings an improved version of Mode Shuffle, a dynamic battle variant that randomly decides gaming modes for participants. The update also brings a German-themed event pass which enables gamers to acquire the German Navy’s permanent skin for Prinz Heinrich along with German Eagle’s permanent skin for Prinz Rupprecht and other appealing elements. An additional tier VI destroyer exists for those who unblock the second progression track using 2,500 Doubloons.
The Red October patch inaugurates a Bounty Hunt event carrying the same title. Gamers can opt to be either the bounty or the hunter. Irrespective, both partakers will receive awards and earn Red Token currency. The event shall be dynamically updating player standing on a leaderboard and awarding players correspondingly. Top ten ranked players will be rewarded with a tier VIII submarine, the S-189.
An additional event celebrating the 80th anniversary of World War II’s biggest naval confrontation was introduced in this update. Players can engage in an immersive historical quest to learn about the battle and win Leyte Gulf cases and Leyte tokens. These tokens can be traded for containers that are assured to drop tier VI-IX luxury ships among other exclusives.
