Vawraek Technology has today released The Quinfall on Steam’s early access at a price tag of $20. To buy an MMORPG, this doesn’t seem expensive, but it might seem steep for those who are not enjoying the gameplay. As it stands, The Quinfall is recepting mixed reviews with the majority of them being negative, amounting to 381 reviews at the time of writing.
Much of the negative feedback revolve around the game’s unfinished state, lack of NPCs or mobs and maps that simply come to an end. These are thought to be a result of server issues that are preventing players from logging in. Those who manage to log into the game experience the mentioned problems alongside significant lag spikes.
Players leaving a negative review commonly suggest others be patient, indicating they believe the game creators will sort out the problems. Although the game has some positive reviews, they mention the same issues but with a more optimistic tone. They hope the game developers can resolve the issues and recover the launch.
With this situation appearing slightly unusual for over a year now, this might not come as a surprise to most.
