Devotees of SMITE 2 might have speculative ideas about the newcomers to the MOBA sequel, with hints given by the Titan Forge squad. The official confirmation now is that two new gods are all set for debut, as revealed in a GameRant interview.
Both Nu Wa and Amaterasu will make an entry in the upcoming alpha, and two more gods are intended for introduction in the next update after three weeks. This pattern of unveiling two gods every three weeks will be maintained, involving either new gods, original game transfers, or both. Hence, SMITE fans may need to be patient before seeing their favourites in SMITE 2. An extensive list of transfers lies ahead.
However, Nu Wa and Amaterasu are not mere direct copies from the original. Both occupied class types that were not replicated in SMITE 2. You can watch them in play during the live stream of SMITE 2 tomorrow at 3 PM EST.
As for the original SMITE, put your worries to rest. Alex Cantatore reiterated in his interview that the original game will continue for the foreseeable future.
