Preparations and Rewards for New World: Aeternum’s Open Beta

The Aeternum Open Beta for New World is set to be rolled out in a week, from September 13 to 16. Prior to this, gamers can start pre-loading the client beginning 9 am Pacific Time on September 11. This beta will support cross-play, hence gamers on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S across the supported regions can join in.

As an incentive to get players involved, Amazon is providing rewards for gaining levels throughout the testing phase. The progression is restricted to level 30, and players can earn rewards at levels 10, 15, 20, and 25 – and they’ll also receive a distinctive title just for participating in the beta test.

A variety of activities will be up for grabs during the test, like 3v3 arenas which become accessible at level 20, along with the introduction of mounts. Other features such as factions, influence races, and Amrine excavation will also be open for players to attempt.

It’s worth mentioning that, a subscription for PlayStation or Xbox isn’t needed to participate in this “definitely not an MMO‘s” Open Beta – for the majority of players, at least. The exception being PlayStation 5 users residing in Germany, who would need a subscription. However, once the full version of the game releases in October, a subscription would be universally required on all consoles.
