Predecessor: New “World Shift” Mechanic Announced

Omeda Studios has unveiled “World Shift,” a game-changing mechanic for their third-person MOBA, Predecessor. This innovative feature introduces dynamic battlefield transformations mid-match. These shifts will alter paths, objectives, and environmental hazards, demanding adaptability and quick thinking from players who must react to the evolving landscape while engaging with opponents.

Strategic players will find opportunities to capitalize on these changes. Adapting quickly to new paths, discovering hidden routes, and utilizing newly created hiding spots can significantly influence the course of battle and offer a tactical edge.

Beyond World Shift, Omeda Studios introduced Akeron, the Demon King, as the game’s newest hero. Akeron, the culmination of the Ashes of the Damned narrative, embodies the world’s encroaching corruption. As a tank/offlane/jungle hero, Akeron possesses spider-like abilities that allow him to attack from walls and traverse terrain effortlessly.

This upcoming update also includes a soft reset of the ranked season, a fresh battle pass, and the official game launch in Japan. Furthermore, players can anticipate performance enhancements, notably the integration of new support for DLSS technology.
