Co-op shooter Polaris delays its weekend pre-alpha test over ‘some serious bugs’

Polaris Co-op Shooter Postpones Pre-Alpha Weekend Test Due to Significant Bugs

We first mentioned Polaris, a cooperative PvE shooting game with superhuman characters fighting guerrilla battles against the Regime, back in June. The unique selling point of this game is its 100% destructible environments, and a pre-alpha test was scheduled for this weekend.

Regrettably, that test was postponed at the eleventh hour due to some serious bugs that were detected just before the test was about to commence, according to Creative Director Jonathan Burroughs in the latest update. He stated, “I don’t want to take either your time or your trust for granted by providing you with a version that does not meet my criteria.”

Whilst this may be disappointing, all those who previously showed interest in joining the pre-alpha testing through Steam or newsletter sign-up will still remain on the list of participants when testing begins. Unfortunately, no testing date is provided in the announcement. When new testing dates are confirmed, they’ll be announced. “The fact that you’re interested in our game is important to me,” Burroughs ends. “It’s my responsibility to repay the faith you have trusted in us with a game that values your time. I’m committed to making sure we can accomplish that.”
