Pay-To-Play Love Battlefield in 1v1 Dating Sim Pick Me

Picture a scenario in which you could revive that ruthless scramble between you and your best friend over the popular school crush. Only in this case, the coveted individual is a piece of AI animation, and you’re using Tokens to engage with them. Then let me introduce you to the forthcoming dating PvP simulation game by Optillusion Games, “Pick Me Pick Me.”

The ‘Pick Me Pick Me’ game operates on a buy-to-play model. However, the game comes in a two-pack, since it requires two players to play. Both players can express their emotions freely towards their love interest, either in their favor or against their competitor. Furthermore, the game uses AI technology for processing the dialogues penned by the players, thereby, determining the lovers’ behavior and advancing the game. However, every interaction requires tokens. The company does bestow players with tokens at purchase and claims that these should suffice for approximately 30 to 40 hours of gameplay. Post this period, the players have to buy tokens to continue.

The requirement for tokens isn’t the only constraint here; the number of copies available in the market is limited due to the usage of AI technology. As stated in the FAQ, there’s a cap on the maximum number of requests that AI models can manage within a specified time frame. Hence, having too many players concurrently will lead to a lag in the NPC responses. However, this may change in the future.
