The 12th season of Overwatch 2 is soon coming to an end. Nevertheless, those who are still yearning to score more points on the competitive ladder, this weekend serves as an ideal opportunity. Until Monday morning, a new feature called “Drive Meter” will be implemented into competitive gameplay of this hero-shooter.
The concept is straightforward. Winning matches increases your meter while losing deflates it. Importantly, there are checkpoints in place on the meter to secure your rewards. The “Drive Points” you earn per match correspond to ten times your Skill Point percentage. For instance, if you scored a 21% advancement towards the next tier, you’ll receive 210 Drive Points. Conversely, losing strips you off five times your Skill Point percentage loss.
With 6 tiers of extra rewards, you can either gain more competitive points or a unique cosmetic Signature. This signature exhibits on your name card and several other areas. The team intends to offer drives for the next 3 seasons along with the ongoing 12th season, introducing new Signatures each time. Your Signature renews whenever a new drive begins.
