Nightingale’s massive Realms Rebuilt update offers a crafting progression and structure revamp

Nightingale’s extensive Realms Rebuilt update introduces a revamped crafting progression and structure.

The game Nightingale might have slipped off your radar since it kicked off its early access phase earlier this year. However, Inflexion, backed by Tencent, is intent on raising its profile again with the announcement of Nightingale: Realms Rebuilt, a major combo update incorporating versions 0.4 and 0.5.

The company stated, “This represents the biggest and most critical update since our Early Access debut. We’ve been engaged in crucial work – refining, improving, and reconstructing significant sections of the Nightingale experience (including expanded build limits, a bit of double entendre),” from Inflexion. “The update was designed to provide a comprehensive overview of successful elements and areas of weakness in the game, and to bring in new features adding depth and significance to our Faewilds.”

Particularly, the update includes:

  • an overhaul of the recipe unlock progression system, introducing a clearer “progression” tab in the manual for a more user-friendly navigation;
  • a heightened focus on quests, POIs, challenges for essence, instead of extensive grinding;
  • removal of the augmentation requirements for crafting certain items;
  • an increase in the number of items and building components you can use in structures, plus a realm-wide weight limit;
  • a new scenic regency tileset;
  • and new additions of bows, arrows, handguns, rifles, and spells.

However, the update will necessitate a realm reset, meaning all characters will be wiped out and all players will have to start anew. The players will be allowed to preserve their respite realms for offline play, but “this parked save will not be updated with any future content updates”. Realms Rebuilt is scheduled for release later this summer.
