NGS Explores the New Year in Latest Stream

The final NGS Headline stream of 2024 made its debut today, giving Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis players a glimpse of what’s in store for the MMORPG in 2025. As 2024 hasn’t yet ended, the first task is to ring in the new year. In that spirit, the stream provides insights on Part 2 of The Super Genesis Festival ‘24, in which Central City will be festively decorated and seasonal outfits can be obtained with Seasonal Points. There will also be an SG Scratch Ticket associated with the event. During the event, players will receive 10 tickets daily.

The developers have also crafted three New Year-specific Scratch Tickets. Namely, the New Year’s Remix Line ‘25, the NY Rewind Collection ‘25, and the Revival AC Scratch Tickets. The first one features reimaginings of earlier outfits. The second one includes items from past January tickets. The third one reintroduces unique PSO2 items from previous tickets.

On the 8th of January, players can collaborate to confront Giant Mutant adversaries on the Stia Outskirts as part of a special time-limited quest. Simultaneously, the drop rate for activities will be raised to 250%. On the 15th of January, players can engage in a solo quest to combat the formidable boss enemy, Ruine Masquerader. The quest consists of 10 ranks, each one unlocking upon the completion of the preceding one. Completing the final rank earns players a unique item and additional rewards.
