It appears that Neverwinter players may have found the Slaughterhouse a bit repetitive. According to the latest patch notes for the free-to-play MMORPG, the developers have acknowledged several issues with this feature and implemented adjustments to address them. These changes include an increase to Arena boss speed during combat, a fix preventing eliminated healers from continuing to heal from the lobby, and a resolution for a glitch that allowed opponents to bypass the lobby’s front door. The hope is that these adjustments improve the experience.
The increased boss speed is intended to provide a greater challenge for players. Previously, the bosses’ movement speed was slow enough that players could easily kite them, leading to a less engaging experience. The lobby healing issue was likely a bug that inadvertently contributed to this dullness, and has now been corrected. One can only imagine the thought process of the player who discovered this unintended healing mechanic while stuck in the lobby. Perhaps the enemy’s ability to glitch through the door sparked the idea.
Besides the Slaughterhouse modifications, this update also introduces new weapon illusions and resolves an issue with an existing one. Players can now acquire the Flicker and Melt illusions from the Trade Bar store. Regarding the fix, the Temporal White Illusions will no longer appear red in certain environments. This update also includes several other fixes, which players can find detailed on the official Neverwinter site.
