Astrum Oyun has revealed that its free-to-play arena shooter NCORE now has an official Steam page and is gearing up for a second alpha test this autumn. Those keen on participating can add the game to their wishlist and sign up for updates to secure a testing spot, with exclusive rewards promised at the game’s launch.
Set in a futuristic world controlled by corporations, NCORE features gladiator-style battles where fighters vie for fame and wealth. The game introduces a dynamic multi-arena system built from hexagonal zones that players can navigate freely during matches. Each hex presents a unique environment—ranging from medieval villages to zombie-ridden cities—and some incorporate specific rules to enhance tactical gameplay. Players can also utilize transformable weapons that can switch between ranged and melee modes to adapt to changing combat scenarios.
First announced in November 2024, NCORE’s inaugural alpha test in March 2025 attracted more than 20,000 participants, as reported by the developers. Using player feedback, they have rolled out substantial updates, including revamped shooting mechanics, weapon balancing, enhancements to PvP and PvE modes, and performance tweaks.
The forthcoming alpha will showcase the redesigned Token Hunt mode, where teams will compete to collect and deposit tokens. New additions comprise a Statue of Liberty hex, the Katana sniper rifle, the boss weapon Thunder, a fresh PvE enemy type, and enhanced customization options. Improved tutorials, player profiles, and an upgraded task system are also on the agenda.
