Myth of Empires Releases Highly Anticipated Xizhou Civilization DLC

It’s time for a bit of Persian style to enhance your Myth of Empires experience, provided you’re willing to spend around $15. The highly anticipated Xizhou Civilization DLC, which has been generating buzz for quite some time, has finally debuted this week as promised. Interestingly, it launched precisely on the spring equinox, which coincides with the Iranian New Year.

This expansion introduces the Xizhou map, blending deserts and oases with various factions competing for dominance – not to mention the multiple boss instances available for exploration. Additionally, the DLC introduces new crafting mechanics and automation, featuring unique constructions such as a wood-harvesting mech and a walking platform.

The DLC’s release also brought a base game update, adding high-level professions and horse customization, alongside the launch of the game’s fourth season offering a $10K cash prize distributed among the top ten guilds on the leaderboard.

Curious to dive deeper? The blend of Persian and Chinese influences is a fascinating historical theme, as is the legacy of Sogdia. Angela Game has done a commendable job weaving history into this release, albeit with a touch of steampunk warfare.
