It’s widely recognized that finding something truly unique in the world of first-person shooter games is a challenge. However, Mountaintop Studio seems to have broken the mould with their innovative new game, Spectre Divide, which is now available for free on Steam.
Launching its 3v3 shooter on Valve’s platform recently, the game introduces an intriguing “Duality” mechanic where players control two entities on the map – their primary avatar and a second avatar known as a “Spectre”. Spectres can be strategically placed throughout the map, allowing players to switch between avatars mid-game. This allows for multi-site defence, self-cover, and more. Additionally, if the primary avatar is killed, the Spectre still remains, thereby increasing uptime.
The game is free to play on Steam. Mountaintop offers a $70 Founder’s Pack and a $40 Supporter pack as additional purchases. Expect to see our First Look video from Ethos soon.
