Monster Hunter Now will let players slap creatures with pastel balloon weaponry in its April 14 Easter event

Monster Hunter Now to Introduce Pastel Balloon Weapons in April 14 Easter Event

Generally speaking, using a sword made out of colorful balloons is not what one would consider lethal. But what if that balloon sword were absurdly large and also followed video game logic? Then you have what’s being showcased in the Easter-themed event launching in Monster Hunter Now starting Monday, April 14th.

The event will introduce hunts against Ebony Odogaron, a Kulu-Ya-Ku carrying Easter eggs, and a Lagombi (a bunny bear, naturally), all of which will have boosted appearance rates during the event. Defeating these monsters will reward players with spring eggs or rare rainbow eggs, which can be exchanged for gear refining items, monster parts, and seasonal weapon upgrade tickets. These items can then be used to craft a bunny head helmet, the Balloon Blade great sword, and the Egg Strongarm charge blade.

In addition to the featured monster hunts, April 18th will introduce hunt-a-thons that spawn giant eggs, which can be broken for even more egg-based currency. Both the eggs and the event hunts will also be part of special event quests for players to tackle. The event runs until April 27th, so if you’re excited to wield balloon-themed weapons, your opportunity is approaching.
