Milepost Zero in Fallout 76 Needs Reinstall Next Week for New Season

In the previous week, Fallout 76 disclosed previews of the forthcoming update to Bethesda’s game of survival. The primary new features brought by Milepost Zero are the Caravan addition, the Best Builds C.A.M.P. evaluating framework, and many new weapons, gear, and crafting enhancements.

With this update, the Caravans element presents fresh content, which encourages players to undertake missions of transporting cattle and resources across dangerous routes in exchange for improved rewards. This feature enriches the gameplay as other players can set up camps along the caravan tracks, encouraging their vendors to earn extra currency.

The Best Builds feature offers an opportunity for players to flaunt their talent in camp building as well as sharing their latest creations. The rest of the player community is invited to vote for their favorite structures. An entirely new reward system and event timetable accompany the arrival of Season 18. Here’s a detailed breakdown:

The Milepost Zero update is slated for release on the 3rd of September. However, players should note that as per a Steam announcement, this update will necessitate a reinstallation of the entire Fallout 76 client. The reason for this is the team’s decision to compress some elements of the game, which eventually results in a smaller file size. Still, players should ensure they have enough hard drive space to allow for the installation process.
