Today, as Season 0 of Marvel Rivals concludes, we welcome Season 1. This new season introduces exciting additions, such as two new heroes – Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman, and a brand new Arcade Mode – Doom Match, along with its associated map.
In the new mode, between eight and twelve players battle to stand tall, with the top half crowned victors. The action unfolds on the Sanctum Sanctorum Map, one of two new terrains added in this upgrade. The additional map is the newly titled Convoy route, Empire of Eternal Night: Midtown.
Understandably, a new season brings a fresh battle pass. Ten new game costumes can be earned from this pass. The update also includes the Midnight Features Season event and an updated feature in Convoy and Convergence that enables both teams to progress to the next spawn area after the attacking team achieves its goal. While the new season brings fresh features, the update also discreetly deactivated the capability for existing mods to function, halting the usage of special skins until a workaround is discovered. Addressing this, Netease explained to IGN, “Modifying game files is discouraged and could risk a potential ban.”
