Marvel Rivals is gearing up to unleash its inaugural PvE experience — the “Zombies” mode — launching on October 23rd. This thrilling addition draws inspiration from the chilling Marvel Zombies series on Disney+. In this collaboration with Marvel Animation, the free-to-play shooter game introduces a mode where up to four players can team up to face relentless waves of undead hordes in a city consumed by infection.
Players will have the chance to step into the roles of iconic heroes such as Thor, Blade, Magik, and Jeff. Each hero boasts unique abilities specifically tailored for battling hordes of zombies. Experience Thor unleashing his devastating lightning in his Awakened form, Blade’s deadly accuracy with his Moon Blades, Magik’s transformation into the powerful Darkchild, and Jeff charging headfirst into the undead onslaught. The new mode will also feature intense boss battles against formidable foes like Zombie Namor and the Queen of the Dead, emphasizing survival-focused gameplay.
According to developers Brad Winderbaum of Marvel Studios and Danny Koo of Marvel Games, this event represents an exciting fusion, blending the game’s hero shooter mechanics with the darker, horror-infused atmosphere of Marvel Zombies.
