MapleStory Releases Stargazer Update Featuring New Character and Summer Content

The enduring 2D side-scrolling MMORPG from Nexon, MapleStory, has unveiled Part I of its Stargazer summer update in its Global version. This update ushers in a new playable character, Sia Astelle, debuts the Challenger World, and offers players several in-game events and exclusive rewards for a limited time. The update also signifies a promising crossover between MapleStory’s mobile and PC versions, in line with the trend in the MMORPG arena to synchronize experiences across devices.

Notable additions in the Stargazer update encompass:

• New Role, Sia Astelle: Originated from MapleStory M, Sia Astelle gets introduced in the PC game as a Star Guardian class. She utilizes constellation-based magic and star-themed attacks, offering new gameplay mechanics and storyline features for players wanting to play as a new character.
• Challenger World: This fresh event world provides significant stat boosts and escalated EXP rates. Players are allowed to draw into tough missions, contest potent bosses, and bag unique rewards. They can subsequently move their progress to different worlds using the World Leap feature.
• Hyper Burning MAX 1 + 4: A step up from the widely-used Hyper Burning mechanic, this boost enables players to hit level 260 faster due to the granting of four additional levels for every level earned, hence speeding up character advancement during the event time.
• Morning Star Banquet Event: Players have the mission to penetrate a High Flora banquet to interfere with enemy strategies. Participation in daily event assignments and monster clearance earns players special rewards, event currency, and boosted EXP.

Nexon has previewed extra content for Part II of the Stargazer update, launching in July:

• An intersection event with Dave the Diver, with indie hit characters making an appearance in Maple World.
• The revival of the Ride or Die event, equipped with refurbished challenges and exclusive summer incentives.
• Expansion of 6th Job Mastery Nodes, permitting players to further augment their characters’ foundational abilities.
