MapleStory: Inactive Character Clean-Up Begins September 24

Get ready for the next inactive character clean-up in MapleStory, scheduled to commence on September 24th following the maintenance period. This routine process aims to reclaim character names and enhance server efficiency, ultimately leading to a better gameplay experience for players of this free-to-play MMORPG. During this clean-up, characters meeting specific criteria will be marked for deletion. The initiative spans from September 24th until November 12th, just prior to maintenance. Any characters flagged and remaining inactive beyond this date will be permanently removed.

A character will be flagged for deletion if it meets all of the following conditions: Level 61 or below, no login since September 24, 2022, not a Guild Leader or Alliance Leader, and no unclaimed cash items listed in the Auction House.

To safeguard your characters, simply log in to each world where you have potential characters at risk at least once between September 24th and November 12th. This simple action will remove the deletion flag, ensuring the character’s survival.
