Lineage II Summer Update: New Classes, Bosses, and Customization Features

The Lineage II Summer Content Update, scheduled for release on August 12, 2025, brings extensive updates to all three free-to-play MMORPG versions: Live, Aden/WOLF, and Classic.

In Lineage II: Live, players will access the Wolf Waker class — a formidable melee character unique to Human males who harness werewolf abilities through devastating transformations and powerful fist weapons. Adventurers can now encounter a new open-world boss, the Chaotic Golem, which randomly appears in the Plundered Plains and disappears if not defeated swiftly. Additionally, Wynn Summoners receive distinctive summons tailored for their combat styles, while the introduction of the Khashi Orc storyline provides solo dungeon quests with collectible materials.

For Lineage II: Aden/WOLF, the update brings the Rose Vain — an elegant Dark Elf dagger class exclusive to female players, adept at battlefield control through debuffs and abilities like Briar Storm. Support classes such as Cardinal and Shillien Saint see significant improvements, and Orc Shamans are reworked with new skills like Pyro Vortex. A newly added Cosmetic System will allow for customizable Weapon Skins, Kill Effects, and Name Decorations, in conjunction with a Collection System that boosts stats based on assembled item sets. Additional changes refine gameplay for Death Knights, Assassins, and Dagger users, adjusting skill strengths, cooldowns, and resistances.

The update also introduces Glacika, a formidable new guardian with abilities like Whiplash, Paranoia, and Avalanche. Her unique passive skill, Carnage Play, along with enhanced equipment bonuses, significantly increases character potency. The Guardian system expands with new passive abilities and high-spec gear, enhancing customization and progression.

Lastly, Lineage II: Classic adds a challenging endgame zone, Steel Citadel — a menacing fortress located on Hellbound Island teeming with tough foes and bosses. Players can elevate their performance with Legendary and Mythic Dolls and explore new Doll Collections to improve PvE and PvP abilities. The Classic version has also embraced the Cosmetic System, enabling players to preserve and reuse their visual gear upgrades from the Private Warehouse.
