Enthusiasts of RuneScape and Old School Runescape can expect several exciting developments in the pipeline for these two MMOs. The new Jagex CEO Mod North recently met with community managers to share his backstory, experience so far as CEO, and upcoming plans for both games.
In the video, North gives assurances that Old School RuneScape will never introduce microtransactions following the joint membership analysis controversy, acknowledging it as a misstep. He also commits to enhancements in player support.
His 10-year vision involves expanding the RuneScape and OSRS communities without tampering with the successful formula they have followed so far. North intends to give developers free rein to create top-notch content.
North concedes that RuneScape 3 is currently not following a sustainable path. He is aware there is a microtransaction issue in the game, and while it will take time to rectify, he pledges to make RuneScape 3 viable.
