Hero Games, the developing, publishing, and investing company behind titles like Black Myth: Wukong and Duet Abyss, has announced the planned release window for CrisisX, a new open-world survival crafting game. As with many entries in the genre, CrisisX is set in a post-apocalyptic world. Players will navigate a vast open-world map populated by up to 5,000 others, exploring 12 distinct biomes ranging from western-style towns to hidden laboratories and snowy mountains. Each biome offers unique resources and creatures to collect and hunt.
Players will face dangers in the form of Titan mutants and Infected Hordes. To survive, they’ll need to arm themselves with a diverse arsenal of weapons, including sniper rifles, RPGs, grenades, machetes, and more.
Survival is enhanced by cooperation. Players can form Teams, Groups, and Communes to more easily achieve objectives such as claiming resource points and expanding their territories.
Crisis X is currently scheduled for release in Q2 of 2026. For those attending Gamescom, Hero Games will be offering an exclusive first look at the game. Currently, no information regarding monetization plans has been released. Examining Hero Games’ portfolio provides limited clues at this time.
